All Of Me (2016)Fans have waited over two years for a new album from this San Diego-based singer-songwriter and they won’t be disappointed. All of Me includes a lively set of jazz standards, but also some ballads that draw from folk and pop, as well as jazz traditions. A couple of Hassett originals shine — the snappy “You Must Have Known I Loved You” and the pensive “A Song for Kim,” honoring his long-time friendship with a recently departed friend. Clearly, Hassett is a singer who puts the song and the delivery above the genre. The whole album will delight his fan base and very likely reach new fans who appreciate elegant, masterful and intimate vocal interpretations.

Just in Time (2013)Teaming up with several of San Diego’s top musicians, Chris puts his spin on twelve favorite standards — including swingers like “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore,” romantic ballads like “When Sunny Gets Blue” and sentimental gems, like Chaplin’s “Smile.” Chris’s new sound on this album comes from his collaboration with Peter Sprague who recorded and mixed six tracks featuring musicians Barnaby Finch, Gunnar Biggs, and Duncan Moore. Peter adds his signature guitar work on two of these tracks. Chris also teams up with jazz pianist Danny Green for four additional songs and then joins his friend and long-time collaborator, Drew Massicot, for two more. All in all, this collection will become a new favorite for many of Chris’s fans.
