My Musical Journey
I’ve been singing for six decades now. And I still can’t wait to sing my next song. I’ve been this way since I was a kid — the third of five boys, growing up in an Air Force family. My Dad was a born singer and my Mom, a built-in audience and, now, my biggest fan.
I feel like I have hit the ongoing music scenes just perfectly — I grooved with Elvis in the 50s, danced to the Beatles and the Beach Boys, discovered the political power of music through Dylan and Baez, marveled at the songwriting talents of Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Bacharach, and so many more, was seduced by Bowie and throughout these eras I have always loved Classical, Broadway, Oldies, and the great American Songbook.
So that will help explain some of my eclecticism in concert.
My career path has taken me from being a math teacher and swim coach to a communications consultant, a marketing guy, a factory owner, and back to marketing. But, I’ve always been a singer. |
These days find me writing songs, planning a next concert, a next CD, a next benefit and always eager to collaborate with other musicians and artists. With the release of my first CD, Bring Love Home, more and more of my time is spent pursuing musical projects.
I’d like to think that my music tells my story. On Bring Love Home are ten original songs I’ve written over the years, many of them deeply personal. I do hope you’ll take the time to learn more about my music and to discover my passion for communicating positive, progressive messages through music.
